Southwest Airlines, like most modern companies, uses the latest technological and software systems in its operations. Southwest Airlines Windows 3.1 is an ancient operating system released in early 1990s, which is not appropriate for the complicated needs of an airline in these modern days.
The airline industry itself demands potent, secure, and efficient systems in booking and scheduling and in other operations and that modern operating systems and software are able to deliver.
