When does Southwest Airlines typically have sales or discounts on flights?

Southwest Airline can be rated, in most parts of the United States, as such an airliner that really cares about its customers and is reliable. Some reasons for establishing this reputation include the following:

1. Low Fares: Southwest is famous for competitive pricing and a no-frill approach towards flying, thus appealing to budget-conscious travelers.

2. No Change Fees: The airline does not charge fees to change flight reservations, which many people appreciate, though fares may vary.

3. Free Checked Bags: It is free to check two bags on Southwest, which this carrier stands out amongst most of its peers; most airlines charge extra to check luggage.

4. Customer Service: The airline usually does well on customer service and is known for having warm staff that pay attention to making customers happy.

5. Flexible Policies: Southwest has a flexible booking policy that may attract those who might want to change their travel plan.

6. Punctuality and Reliability: The airline usually does well in terms of punctual departure and arrival but with slight seasonal variance creeping in its performance.

7. Boards Open Unique Process: At Southwest, instead of being assigned seats, people receive a boarding group and are able to choose where they want to sit based on their boarding time. However, there are also downsides as per Southwest Airlines review:

1. No First Class: Southwest does not have any first-class cabin where most passengers can book for their journey.
2. Limited Amenities: Since the airline offers no-frills, their in-flight services may be limited compared to others in terms of service like meal services and in-flight entertainment.

More abstractly, whether or not Southwest Airlines is “good” is a matter of personal preference and requirements while traveling. On balance, however, the airline appears preferred by price-sensitive customers with a slight emphasis placed in areas of customer service, mainly for flights within the United States.
