United Airlines does not have a general “no carry-on policy.” However, Basic Economy fares have restrictions, including limited carry-on allowances. Passengers with Basic Economy tickets are only allowed to bring a personal item that fits under the seat in front of them. A standard carry-on bag is not included with these tickets. Travelers in other fare classes can bring both a personal item and a standard carry-on bag, subject to size and weight restrictions.
